Our Kennels

We provide good, comfortable accomodation and facilities. Each kennel is spacious and airy, is heated over the winter months and has it's own private run and sleeping area. We also have 5 acres of secure fenced paddocks and orchards for you pets to enjoy daily supervised free excercise and playtimes either on a one to one basis or with another companionable pet if preferred. Our Kennels are situated in the heart of rural France, surrounded by acres of beautiful orchards and traquil French countryside, a perfect haven for your pet. Young pets are encouraged to socialise with their human carers and with other pets. Toys and bedding are provided but you are welcome to bring their own treasures or personal items if you wish.

Our Pet Passport Service

Dogs from some parts of the world are allowed into FRANCE without quarantine if they meet certain conditions. Being based in Normandy means we are ideally located for access to all major UK ports. Exporting pets directly to FRANCE rather than the UK means that we can offer UK pet owners comfortable kennel accommodation for pets whilst awaiting legal entry into the UK. We look upon ourselves as being the caring and cost effective alternative to quarantine kennels.

Loving pet owners agree that placing a treasured companion in the confines of even the most luxurious quarantine kennels can lead to grief, guilt and worry. six months of isolation produces at the very least boredom and loneliness for the pet and anxiety for their owners. Here at Homeward Bound the wellbeing of your pet is paramount and our priority is to Eliminate these problems.

Young pets are encouraged to socialise with their human carers and with other pets. Toys are provided but you are welcome to bring their own treasures or personal items if you wish.

We allow your pet as much freedom and stimulation, company and love as is possible.

Pets are carefully groomed and bathed at no extra charge. Those pets that require stylised clipping are treated by fully trained pet beauticians.

All pets are fed according to their size and breed. Any dog with special dietary likes or needs will be catered for on request.

We are dedicated to the well being and happiness of your pet at all times.

Qualifying "PETS" Countries

Basic Entry Conditions To France:

1. Your pet must be at least 3 months of age.

2. Your pet must be microchipped with an ISO chip.

3. Your pet must receive a Rabies vaccination after the chip is inserted and the chip number must be shown on all relevant travel documentation.

Entry Conditions To The UK:

4. Blood test for rabies antibodies is carried out 30 days after the Rabies vaccination and sent to an official government laboratory for analysis of Rabies antibodies.

5. If the result is satisfactory, your pet may enter the UK without going into quarantine 6 months after the blood sample has been taken.

6. During the 6 months between the blood test and departure to the UK your pet must remain in France or otherwise stay in UK quarantine kennels.

We can/will provide all the necessary procedures as part of our pet passport service, or, if you have already started the ball rolling, in part, as required. We accept pets under our pet passport service for any period from 24 hours to 6 months …

Early Release

You may take your pet into the UK even if the qualifying date has not yet been reached, but your dogs will have to go into quarantine kennels for the "balance" of the six months. For example: If the blood was taken on 24th January, but your pet needs to go to the UK in May, s/he could still go to the UK in May but would have to go into quarantine kennels for the balance until 24th July.
